And what a line-up it is! First off, we have Björk who will be performing a
multi-media display called Biophilia. Damon Albarn will be exhibit a show
involving magic, music and illusion about Dr John Dee, in collaboration with
the English National Opera. Snoop Dogg will treat audiences to a performance of
his album, Doggy Style, in its
entirety and with all the original contributors, at the Manchester Apollo.
Finally, Anthony (Anthony and the Johnsons) Hegarty and Willem Dafoe are to
star in Marina Abramovitch’s arrangement, which will combine theatre, art and
music from all over the world.

Saturday was a big day for football fans of both Manchester
teams with Manchester United and Manchester City going up against each other to
fight for a place in the FA Cup final. At full-time it was Manchester City who
were victorious and the first time they
had reached the final by beating Manchester United in 30 years. The 1-0 win was
cemented when Yaya Toure scored in the seventh minute of the second half.
