Levenshulme leads Manchester entertainment for Halloween
If you're looking for local Manchester entertainment this Halloween, head to Levenshulme, south-east of the city centre.
The area has plenty of events taking place throughout the end of the month, as Levenshulme Festival runs from October 26th to November 11th.
However, Halloween is set to see a number of special celebrations, making Levenshulme a hotspot for Manchester entertainment on October 31st.
At Levenshulme Library, a free two-hour murder mystery event brings fun and spooky happenings to the book stacks, and is suitable for anybody above the age of 8.
Under-13s must be accompanied by an adult, and you can book free tickets in advance to make sure you don't miss out.
Outside, up to 5,000 people are expected to attend a Halloween celebration in Cringle Fields on Errwood Road.
The party, with a firework finale, starts at 5:30pm, and if the weather's not so good or you have very young children, there's a Kids' Halloween Party at the Kingsway Hotel that offers an opportunity to stay warm and dry.
October 31st alone has a line-up of 12 events taking place for the Levenshulme Festival, so it's well worth heading to the area to see what's going on.
